Job overview

This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced team completing urgent assessments for children and young people in need of psychiatric care & support.

The team cover all the 6 major hospitals in Kent and Medway as well as Urgent treatment centres, community and home assessments. All assessments need to be completed within 4hrs; therefore, car transportation is essential. The team operates 24/7 working mixed shift patterns of days, nights and weekends. Working shifts, you can enjoy great work-life balance with 3 long days on and 4 days off, perfect for those where 9-5 doesn’t compliment your personal life.

As an assessment team, we complete comprehensive and robust assessments, providing onward signpost. In complex cases, we convene a network around the child to support system working to ensure the right support is available to the child and family. We work closely with NHS 111, Intensive Home Treatment Team, Kent & Medway Adolescent Hospital and Locality Teams.
