As a Business Support Assistant within Specialist Children’s Services, you will play a vital role in supporting multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

  • You will be based at Stobhill Hospital
  • Full Time, Permanent
  • Working Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the multidisciplinary team
  • Manage telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries, ensuring a professional and helpful service
  • Arrange patient appointments, clinics, and manage diaries using electronic systems
  • Maintain accurate records, input data, and update systems in line with procedures
  • Support meetings and events, including preparation of agendas, papers and minutes
  • Process referrals through the single point of access and ensure timely communication with teams
  • Undertake general office duties including mail handling, ordering supplies and stock control

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative or office environment
  • Competence in using a range of IT systems and packages such as Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
  • Excellent communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, including keyboard and typing skills
  • Willingness to undertake training and development to enhance skills and knowledge
