Were offering an exciting opportunity for a support worker to join our new client in Llanelli. Pay: £17.01 per hour weekdays. £17.86 weekend day shifts & waking weeknights. £18.71 weekend waking nights. Hours: 8am-8pm and 8pm-8am 2:1. About the Role Youll be supporting our new client, a gentleman in his late 50's who has complex needs due to a brain injury including PEG feeding, tracheostomy support and challenging behaviour. We're looking for someone with experience in complex care and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy. Our client has a passion for motorbikes and prior to his injury, enjoyed riding his motorbike, attending bike club, gardening and spending time with his family. Once discharged, he will be residing in a bungalow.

Main duties of the job

You'll be supporting our new client, a gentleman in his late 50's who has complex needs due to a brain injury including PEG feeding, tracheostomy support and challenging behaviour. We're looking for someone with experience in complex care and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy. Our client has a passion for motorbikes and prior to his injury, enjoyed riding his motorbike, attending bike club, gardening and spending time with his family. Once discharged, he will be residing in a bungalow. You'll need a genuine passion for care, strong communication skills, compassion, reliability, experience in complex care and managing challenging behaviours, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Training in PEG and tracheostomy can be provided.

What We’re Looking For Due to the client's needs, we’re seeking a support worker with: A genuine passion for care and making a difference Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature Reliable, committed, and flexible approach Experience in complex care and managing challenging behaviours PEG and Tracheostomy experience desirable, however training can be provided Ability to work independently and as part of a team You’ll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to build a trusting relationship with the client and their family.
