Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or a related area, or an equivalent or higher recognised qualification. They should also have GCSEs or an NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths. It is acknowledged that not all new recruits will have obtained the NVQ Level 2 qualification upon appointment; however, they will be expected to begin the process of attaining it within six months of joining and complete it within a specified timeframe. The Lawrence is looking to recruit a Bank Support Worker to join the team.The Lawrence is located in Carr Gate, in Wakefield. Our offers residential support for 14 males and females with a learning disability, and other needs.
What you'll be doing
- Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks. To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
- Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
- Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
- Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.
