Bank Registered Nurse | Spire King's Lynn Clinic - South Wootton | Ad Hoc Bank Shifts | Monday to Friday

Spire Healthcare's clinic in King's Lynn, Norfolk, is seeking a Bank Registered Nurse to support the team on a flexible, ad hoc basis. Opened in September 2025, the clinic continues to grow, and we are looking for a reliable, compassionate individual to provide cover during busy periods, annual leave, sickness absence, and ongoing service development.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a patient-focused team and play a key role in delivering outstanding care within a modern outpatient setting.

The clinic is home to a team of experienced consultants offering specialist services across a range of areas, including:

  • Cardiology
  • Cosmetic Surgery
  • da Vinci® Robotic-Assisted Surgery
  • Gastroenterology
  • General Surgery
  • Gynaecology
  • Mako® Robotic-Assisted Surgery
  • Neurosurgery
  • Orthopaedics (including Spine)
  • Pain Management
  • Urology

Key Responsibilities

As a Bank Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within the outpatient clinic environment. Working closely with consultants and the wider team, you will ensure patients receive safe, effective and compassionate care throughout their visit.

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care across a varied outpatient caseload.
  • Support consultants during outpatient clinics, diagnostic investigations and minor procedures.
  • Undertake clinical assessments and record patient observations where required.
  • Perform a range of nursing duties including wound care, venepuncture, cannulation and ECGs, where competent.
  • Deliver excellent patient care, ensuring privacy, dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.
  • Provide patients with appropriate information and support regarding treatment pathways and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records in line with NMC and organisational standards.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses and administrative teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Adhere to infection prevention and control policies, health and safety regulations, and clinical governance requirements.

Shift Pattern

  • Flexible bank shifts
  • Monday to Friday
  • Monday-Friday, 0730-2000. Shift hours may vary depending on clinic need.

Who We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • Current NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions on practice.
  • Previous experience working as a Registered Nurse within an outpatient, day case or acute clinical setting.
  • Experience of managing and prioritising a varied clinical workload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, consultants and colleagues.
  • A compassionate, professional and patient-focused approach to care.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Sound knowledge of clinical governance, infection prevention and patient safety principles.
  • Venepuncture, cannulation and ECG competency desirable.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to support service demands across clinic specialties.
