The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC registration, 6 to 12 months’ post-registration experience, and completion of a preceptorship programme. They will have knowledge of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional practices, along with evidence of post-registration continuing professional development. The candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, a commitment to change, improvement, and quality, and the ability to develop and use flexible, innovative approaches to practice. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. They will have a minimum of 6 months’ post-registration experience within a mental health or learning disabilities care environment, with evidence of continued professional development in a relevant field. What you'll be doing
- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
- Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
- Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
- Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
