Radiology Assistant | Spire Leicester Hospital | Bank | 0 Hour Contract
Spire Leicester Hospital have an exciting opportunity to join our bank as an assistant in the imaging department.
The role involves supporting a range of ultrasound and fluoroscopy clinics, including breast, gynaecology, and other sensitive examinations, requiring a professional and compassionate approach to patient care and chaperoning duties.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assisting the Imaging team in the provision of exemplary patient care
- Contributing to the support and monitoring of patients
- Identifying and reporting any significant changes that might affect the patient’s health and well-being to the appropriate person
- Assisting with the movement of patients in line with hospital policies
Who we're looking for
- Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA), Radiology Department Assistant (RDA), or equivalent in a clinical/acute healthcare environment.
- Previous exposure to an ultrasound environment is essential, with an understanding of departmental workflows and patient pathways.
- Knowledge and experience of supporting Radiologists during ultrasound and fluoroscopy examinations.
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care, including supporting patients during sensitive and intimate procedures and acting as a chaperone where appropriate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
- Experience or knowledge of imaging services is desirable.
Working Hours: Zero-hour contract, Ad hoc shifts Monday to Saturday
