Spire Norwich Hospital are looking for an experienced Physiotherapy Assistant to join our Physiotherapy department on a bank, flexible working basis. The physiotherapy assistant will assist the multi-disciplinary team to provide exemplary physiotherapy care within the physiotherapy department and on the wards.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist registered Physiotherapists in delivering physiotherapy treatments.
- Support patients with: Prescribed exercises Mobility practice Therapeutic activities
- Prepare treatment rooms and therapy equipment.
- Monitor and report patient responses or concerns to supervising therapists.
- Help patients use mobility aids safely (e.g., walking frames).
- Maintain, clean, and store equipment in line with infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
Who we're looking for:
- Understand a range of physiotherapy assistant tasks requiring job training and a period of induction.
- Previous experience in a health and/or social environment or hold and appropriate qualification eg. NVQ
- Good command of English Language and Basic Maths (GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English)
- IT literate
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
- The ability to adapt to changes in work routine
Shifts Patterns: Variable flexible shifts - Both weekday and weekend working / day + evening working
