We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our Powys Physiotherapy service on our bank services
You will take a lead role in the assessments and treatment of patients in the musculoskeletal service who may have a complex and/or chronic presentation.
To determine a clinical diagnosis and develop effective and appropriate treatment plans, maintaining records as an autonomous practitioner at all times.
To act as a source of expertise on the management of musculoskeletal and long-term conditions and provide advisory service to patients, peers and wider MDT.
To prioritise referrals on a daily basis.
To provide clinical leadership, supervision and training to band 5 Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Technicians, Therapy Support Workers and Students.
To occasionally deputise for Team Lead when required.
To support the Team Lead with operational management.
To educate and advise carers/relatives

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and innovative individuals who have experience in the field of MSK.
The successful applicant will be expected:
To provide specialist MSK Physiotherapy to outpatients both face to face and virtually (video & telephone) to a variety of patients with a wide range musculoskeletal clinical needs.
To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care. To ensure high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management. To work with autonomy in the key elements of assessments, clinical decision making, treatment selection and evaluation without daily direct supervision but with access to guidance through peer support and the support of Team Lead / Clinical Specialist.

Qualifications
Essential
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- Knowledge in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation

- Experience of working with Junior staff/ assistants/ students and to develop other staff both formally and informally
- Ability to work independently
