Main duties of the job
As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will join a team that collaborates well to deliver care for individuals with mental health conditions. Your role is to support people to lead a fulfilled life, leveraging your experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker. Its a challenging environment, requiring a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance, but its rewarding to witness improvements in your clients, achieving tasks they couldnt before your support. Youll understand what delivering excellent healthcare feels like as you make a difference in vulnerable individuals lives. Working on a zero-hour contract, you can choose shifts you wish to work weekly, with standard shifts lasting 12.5 hours. Located at Bromley Road, you work at a rehabilitation service for individuals with enduring mental health issues, complex needs, and addiction problems. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver positive support and risk reduction strategies alongside providing opportunities for social inclusion and skills for independent living.

What you will be doing
You will join the team that works well together to provide care for people with Mental Health conditions. Whether you are currently a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker, you will utilise your experience to support people to lead a valued and fulfilled life.

The service operates 24/7 with 12.5 hour standard shifts. As a Healthcare Assistant on our bank you’ll be on a zero hour contract, giving you the freedom to choose which shifts you want to work each week.
Where you will be working
Location: 84-86 Bromley Road, Catford, London, SE6 2UR
You will work alongside the multidisciplinary team to deliver positive support and risk reduction strategies, as well as providing opportunities for social inclusion and building skills for independent living.
The team at Bromley Road work alongside service users, supporting them in their therapy programmes, building coping strategies and increasing their life skills. The aim at Bromley Road is to keep the length of stay to a minimum by planning discharge at the point of admission. Communication with families and valued support networks are encouraged by an experienced and values led staff team.
