Spire Harpenden Hospital is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join the Pre Operative Assessment department on a bank contract You will join a warm, friendly and supportive team working adhoc shifts across Monday-Friday 8am-6pm.
A Bank contract at Spire Healthcare is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead, you work on an ad-hoc basis, filling in shifts that we have available in our hospital. A Bank contract is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, as it allows you to choose shifts that fit your availability, leaving you with a greater work-life balance. Duties and responsibilities:
- Assisting nurses with comprehensive pre-operative assessments.
- As a HCA, duties will include routine tasks related to the delivery of care to ensure our patient’s health and well-being.
- Updating patient records accurately.
- Ensuring medical questionnaires and documentation are completed.
- Booking appointments or coordinating further tests when required.
- Maintaining confidentiality and following data protection procedures.
- Supporting patients who may be anxious about surgery.
