As an Out of Hours Driver with Practice Plus Group, you will play a vital role in facilitating patient home visits by safely transporting our clinicians to and from appointments during evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Your contribution will help us maintain seamless and efficient out of hours services, ensuring patients can access the urgent care they need when they need it most.
Our Warwickshire OOH service is spread across the county with sites in; Nuneaton, Coventry, Rugby, Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon and Shipston-on-Stour. Please see the link below to see the site map.

Our OOH service is open from 18.30-08.00 Monday to Friday and 24 hours over the weekend. We can offer a range of sessions to allow you to flexibly choose the right shift pattern for you.
Ideally you will be flexible to work around Bank Holidays and can be available at short notice to cover sickness and cancellations and could cover all sites across the service. When not driving, you would also have the opportunity to work on site in an admin capacity or on reception.
Main duties of the job
Safely driving Practice Plus Group clinicians to and from patient homes during out of hours shifts.
Planning and managing routes efficiently to ensure timely arrival for scheduled visits.
Assisting clinicians with navigation and any necessary logistics related to travel during shifts.
Ensuring vehicle cleanliness, safety checks, and maintenance reporting as required.
Supporting the clinical team by being a reliable and professional presence during visits.
Communicating effectively with the clinical and administrative teams to coordinate travel and schedules.
About us
Previous experience as a driver, preferably within a healthcare setting
Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safety at all times.
Excellent time management and route planning skills.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
A caring attitude and the ability to work professionally within a fast-paced healthcare setting
