As a Chef, you'll have the flexibility to choose shifts that suit you while working as part of a dedicated team committed to work in conjunction with the ward and kitchen to provide a high quality, helpful and courteous service to patients and staff to include the preparation of food, cooked to order using fresh ingredients, service and presentation of breakfast, lunch, dinner and hospitality.

Main duties of the job
What You'll Be Doing
Prepare and serve meals to patients, staff, and visitors.
Follow recipes, food safety, and hygiene standards.
Support menu planning and special dietary requirements.
Supervise food production and stock rotation.
Maintain clean, safe, and organised kitchen areas.
Ensure equipment is used safely and reported when faulty.
Deliver meals on time and to the required standard.
Monitor food quality, temperatures, and cleaning records.
Assist with stock deliveries and storage.
Record food wastage and check food expiry dates.
Support the day-to-day running of the catering service.
Train and support new team members.
Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
Build positive working relationships across the Trust.
Comply with Trust policies, health & safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Participate in training, meetings, and personal development activities.
