Job overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Support Worker, at Band 4 to work via a Bank Contract, based in Watford for our Community Adult Mental Health Team. You will be joining our Temporary Staffing Team within HPFT - Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.
You will work as part of a small team within a wider multidisciplinary team that provides mental health services to adults. The role involves delivering practical and emotional support in a holistic manner, assisting with the assessment of needs and the provision of social care services.
You will work closely with the Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) Clinical Lead and other senior staff to ensure coordinated and effective care delivery. Additionally, work within the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and Care Management processes, maintaining a strong focus on recovery principles and supporting service users to achieve their individual goals and improve their overall wellbeing.
HPFT provides services for service users with mental health, learning disability and children’s and adolescent mental health problems. Applicants should have some experience of working in a healthcare setting. HPFT has a range of healthcare settings across the County and therefore access to a car would be beneficial unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 which prevents you from driving
Main duties of the job

A key aspect of the role is promoting independent living and empowering service users to achieve their personal goals within the community and to contribute to developing strong therapeutic relationships based on attentiveness, sensitivity, understanding, compassion, and honesty, enabling effective engagement and support. Additionally, assist in developing plans that provide practical support to service users and their carers, helping to maintain dignity, independence, and an improved quality of life.
