As part of the Women’s Health leadership team, you will join a dynamic and ambitious group of clinical and operational leaders dedicated to delivering outstanding care and driving continuous improvement across urgent, emergency, and specialist women's health pathways. The successful candidate will provide strong, credible, and compassionate leadership within a fast-paced and complex operational environment. As a visible leader, you will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, building strong relationships with consultants, matrons, midwives, specialist nurses, corporate teams, and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery. As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the operational performance of non-elective, emergency, and specialist services, ensuring the delivery of key quality, access, workforce, and financial objectives. You will lead service improvement and transformation programmes across urgent and emergency care pathways, supporting the development of sustainable models of care that improve patient flow, enhance patient experience, and deliver excellent clinical outcomes. Working closely with clinical leaders, you will identify opportunities to redesign pathways and implement innovative solutions that meet the growing needs of our population. Leadership is a critical component of this role. You will be expected to inspire, develop, and support multidisciplinary teams, creating an inclusive environment where staff are empowered to deliver their best. Through visible leadership, effective decision-making, and a commitment to excellence, you will drive high performance, support operational resilience, and ensure services consistently deliver safe and effective care. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in NHS operational management, excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, and a passion for improving urgent, emergency, and specialist women's health services. In return, we offer a supportive and collaborative working environment, excellent opportunities for professional development, and the chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of women's health services at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
