As the ED Superintendent Radiographer, you will lead the Emergency Department  imaging services, providing specialist skills and knowledge. Main duties of the job

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical care and support for patient welfare.
  • Assess radiographic referrals and ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, ensuring informed consent and high standards of care.
  • Patient Responsibilities:
  • Promote a patient-centered care culture.
  • Adapt imaging techniques to meet patient needs.
  • Communicate empathetically with patients and their escorts.

Policy and Service Development:

  • Update and enforce imaging policies and procedures.
  • Participate in audits and use evidence-based practices to improve services.
  • Drive continuous improvement and manage change effectively.

Financial and Physical Resources:

  • Manage and maintain imaging equipment.
  • Identify efficiency savings and improvement opportunities.
  • Implement effective stock control procedures.

Leading and Managing:

  • Lead and inspire the radiography team.
  • Liaise with clinicians and departments to ensure quality service.
  • Prioritise and allocate radiographic resources efficiently.

Information Resources:
