Job overview

BHRUT is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic midwife to join our team as a band 7 senior Midwife. If you are an NMC registered midwife who has an NMC PIN Number and would like to make a difference to women and their families, then we would like to hear from you.

The post holder will continue to develop their leadership skills by enhancing both professional and personal development. By joining our team you will have the opportunity to bring your wealth of knowledge and experience to our maternity service and play a  key role in supporting staff and improving care provided.

Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months.

Main duties of the job

To ensure that midwifery practice is evidence-based and women-centered.

To provide expert midwifery advice and guidance to all members of the multidisciplinary team when necessary.

Set, monitor and maintain high standards of Midwifery care within the ward environment

To maintain personal contact with women, relatives and carers, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy.
