As a Band 7 Radiographer, you will be expected to rotate across both modalities, provide senior clinical support within the department, manage the work area when required and offer professional advice and supervision to radiographers, students and radiographic assistants. The role includes responsibility for maintaining safe clinical standards, supporting patient flow, reviewing image quality and contributing to the daily running of CT and MRI services.
The post holder will also contribute to the development of radiology services across the Trust, supporting audit, quality assurance, training and service improvement. There will be opportunities to take on line management responsibilities, including rostering, appraisal, staff development, performance management and sickness absence management.

Delivering high-quality MRI and CT examinations, ensuring appropriate patient preparation, positioning, image quality and adherence to departmental protocols.
Assessing imaging referrals, acting as an IR(ME)R Operator and working within delegated Practitioner responsibilities where applicable.
Administering IV contrast, including cannulation, use of pressure injectors and assessment of patient suitability for contrast examinations.
Maintain ILS competency and provide an immediate response to clinical emergencies, including recognising deterioration and initiating appropriate emergency care.
Providing senior clinical support and leadership within the department, including supervising junior radiographers, students and radiographic assistants.
Reviewing image quality, identifying urgent or unexpected findings and ensuring appropriate escalation before the patient leaves the department.
Supporting audit, equipment quality assurance, protocol review, staff training and service development across CT and MRI.
Supporting the day-to-day running of the service, including workforce allocation, maintaining patient flow and working within the six-day shift rota.
Contributing to appraisals, staff development, recruitment and line management activities where required.
