In conjunction with the Consultant Psychiatrist and the Hub Manager:
- To model the delivery of evidence-based treatment interventions to colleagues through work with a small caseload of complex clients [including prescribing interventions where relevant}
- If qualified, to undertake non-medical nurse prescribing, or work towards non medical prescribing qualification where agreed in post.
- To provide clinical case management supervision to colleagues and participate in educational events such as teaching and case discussions
- To provide case management supervision to senior members of staff, embedding a consistent supervision standard and experience is cascaded throughout the service.
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions
- To ensure the service remains up to date in delivering best practice/evidence based quality in clinical knowledge, assessment, coordination and interventions.
- To provide professional advice, support and guidance to Solihull services around substance use and best practice.
- To develop and lead a system of continuous clinical quality improvement through audit, service evaluation, service user satisfaction surveys and targeted key performance indicators.
- Contribute towards service understanding of quality through implementation and review of clinical audit and service user experience.
- Contribute towards clinical governance processes and service reviews
- To deputise for Team Manager in their absence.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder: Will manage a substance use caseload and will be responsible for the assessment, co-produced recovery planning, implementation and evaluation of delivered systemic care. Have a working knowledge of local, national policies and legislation which govern current substance use service delivery and quality. Will provide case management supervision to staff within SIAS. Will support clinical effectiveness of SIAS through completion of qualitative and quantitative audit and support implementation of required action for continuous improvement. Provide expert support to colleagues around change behaviour interventions Will be responsible for ensuring effective communication pathways exist. Will be responsible for ensuring the promotion of equality, diversity and inclusivity in accordance with best practice and legislation. Will contribute towards SIAS meeting training and skills required to deliver quality evidence-based care. Where qualified, support the non medical prescribing functions of the service.
