Are you an enthusiastic, motivated Dietitian with a proven record in a broad range of clinical dietetic specialities?  We are looking for a Dietitian who is an active team player with excellent communication skills.  You will work as a dedicated Catering Dietitian within the Nutrition and Dietetic team working closely with the Trust Estates, Facilities and Catering Management team to shape the future of catering services to inpatients across the trust.

Main duties of the job

  • To drive continuous improvements on catering matters and improve practices trust wide.
  • To work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team (catering, dietetics, speech and language therapy, nursing and medical) and lead on a strategic level in the development, delivery and evaluation of the food and drink service in order to achieve healthcare food service best practice.

*Ensure the trust provides food and drink that meets nutritional requirements of all service users, inclusive of therapeutic requirements.

*Have a working knowledge of national & best practice guidelines.

*Keep up to date on all relevant nutritional standards, guidelines and legislation and translate this into trust targets and policies.

*Liaise with the Nutrition and Dietetics department to scope all patient nutritional requirements to ensure they are included in the trusts food and drink service specification.

*To champion the needs of service user groups with special dietary needs with nursing staff and catering to ensure the dietary needs of all service users are met.

  • Involvement in specialist group relevant to area
  • Experience of learning from other teams and innovating

  • Use of nutritional analysis software

Education and Qualification

Essential

  • Recognised degree level qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Registered with HCPC
  • Post Graduate qualification in relevant clinical field

  • Food Services specific courses
  • Leadership skills training
