This post requires a skilled and experienced inpatient Physiotherapist who is looking for an opportunity to specialise Critical Care, Respiratory & Surgery and to further develop their Management and Leadership skills within a large Teaching Acute Care Trust.
You will be working within a team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists who pride themselves in providing high quality care to Critical Care, Respiratory and Surgical wards. You should have past experience in managing critically unwell patients, respiratory patients and Surgical patients. In addition to this you may have the opportunity to gain experience in Neurosurgical Critical Care and paediatrics. You will be available to participate in on-call and weekend duties. This post also requires you to have the flexibility to work cross-site at King George Hospital (KGH).
As a Band 6 and a static member of the team you will be working closely with highly specialised team-members and you will be expected to deputise in the absence of more senior leadership. You will be expected mentor and supervise less experienced staff including students while playing a key role in maintaining good working relationship with our local Tertiary Education Providers.
To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries.
To participate in the static ARCCS band 6 rotation which involves working across the Trust (King George Hospital and Queens Hospital) in a range of settings including acute respiratory, critical care, surgery, and vascular ward areas. Alongside your general critical care rotation, you will be required to cover paediatrics with support of the paediatric band 7 Physiotherapists. Additionally, you will also have a rotation through neuro critical care.
