*Prepare the environment for recording of Neurophysiological procedures.
*Prepare patients for routine Electroencephalogram (EEG) recording in a dedicated environment and on wards, including head measurement and the application of electrodes and provide factual report.
*Perform routine, sleep, ward, intensive care and 24-hour EEGs independently.
*Setup and download data from 24-hour EEG monitors. Monitor electrode function and record quality.
*Perform routine Evoked Potentials (EP) tests to include complex investigations independently.
*Prepare patients for EP tests, Carpal Tunnel Screening (CTS) & Electromyography (EMG) clinics.
*Record routine and sleep EEGs on a co-operative adult according to a prescribed protocol including annotation of the record as appropriate.
*Perform EEG recording on wards, High dependency units (HDU's) and Intensive care unit (ICU's). Scanning Ambulatory-EEG under supervision
*Perform routine EPs.
*Perform CTS and record findings as appropriate to the referral and recognise the need for additional testing which may need doing by a Senior or Consultant.
*Assist Consultants in EMG clinics and scribe EMG findings.
*Apply agreed evocative techniques.
*Remove electrodes from the patient and clean the applied area if necessary.
*Wash and/or sterilise any electrodes/equipment as necessary following the procedure according to agreed protocols.
