Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Specialised Cardiac Physiologist with an interest in CRM to join a busy, established Device Service.

Based at Good Hope Hospital, part of University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the successful applicant will be encouraged to develop their skills in all aspects of the CRM Service including device implant and follow up including Conduction System Pacing and S-ICD.

Training will be provided to support the Physiologist to work towards successful BHRS/IBHRE Accreditation.

There will also be a requirement to cover other aspects of diagnostic cardiac physiology, to include angiography, exercise tolerance testing and Holter analysis.

On occasion there may be a requirement to support services at other sites within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the role include:

*Performing specialised Cardiac Physiology investigations and interventions including:

*Advanced physiological testing during pacemaker, CRT-P and ICD/CRT-D implantation and

follow-up with analysis of complex data and diagnostic information. Prescription and

evaluation of device therapy and programming ensuring individualised device optimisation.

Additionally, perform a broad range of clinical investigations undertaken within the Cardiac Physiology Service including, but not limited to:

*Performance, analysis, and interpretation of resting ECGs.

*Manage physiologist-led Exercise Tolerance Testing

*Holter application

*Holter analysis (including complex pacemakers/implantable devices)

*Cardiac catheterisation (including complex cases)

*Permanent pacemaker and implantable loop recorder implantation and follow-up

*Assist with tilt testing (physiologist led) -- Currently performed at another site.

*Actively working toward or keen to work toward BHRS/IBHRE Accreditation.
