Our Pre assessment team is committed to delivering safe, high-quality and patient-centred care, ensuring patients are optimally prepared for their surgical journey.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to further develop their expertise. You must have previous experience working within a Pre-Assessment Unit or a similar pre-operative assessment service.
We are looking for nurses who can bring confidence, clinical expertise and experience to our demanding service environment and who are ready to take the next step in their professional development.
You will be expected to independently lead Nurse-led Pre-Assessment Clinics, assessing and preparing patients for elective procedures while ensuring that every patient receives safe, individualised and high-quality care.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the individualised care of clients on their elective surgical pathway.
To provide and maintaining a high standard of nursing practice whilst co-ordinating and liaising with other staff, in line with Trust and CQC standards
To assist with support and supervision of students and junior members of the team
To supervise and co-ordinate other staff as appropriate and take charge of own pre-assessment clinic.
To demonstrate leadership and deputise in the absence of the Senior sister/ Charge
