This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality podiatric care and improving patient mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary environment, providing specialist assessment and treatment for patients with a range of complex foot health needs.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred podiatry care while working in partnership with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate complex or sensitive foot health information clearly and empathetically to patients and service users.
- Provide evidence-based treatment for At Risk patients, including wound care, nail surgery, and pressure offloading techniques.
- Manage a specialist community caseload using advanced assessment techniques, including monofilament testing, ABPI assessment, and Doppler use.
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with complex foot conditions, ensuring safe and effective clinical management.
- Identify local service needs, prioritise care effectively, and support the management of service demand and capacity.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of patient care, including onward referrals, antibiotic recommendations, specialist footwear prescriptions, and requests for further investigations where appropriate.
What Were Looking For
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A BSc in Podiatry or equivalent qualification (such as a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine or an overseas qualification with equivalent experience)
- Current HCPC registration, including local anaesthetic annotation
- Experience delivering foot health education and communicating effectively with patients and the general public
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills within podiatry practice
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
