Job summary

Main duties of the job

*To deliver a high standard of therapy provision within the Solihull Community and Intermediate Care Bedded Units across Pathway 1 and 2.

*To support our patients in their recovery journey and minimise the risk of hospital readmissions.

*To make the transition from acute care to the community as smooth as possible, ensuring timely discharges and efficient flow.

*To liaise with various agencies to ensure safe, effective and efficient discharges.

*To provide Physiotherapy services in the patient's own home or residence.

*To contribute to seven-day working programmes across the organisation.

*To be part of On-call respiratory Rota

*To be able to manage your caseload and work independently.

*To supervise students on placements.

*To appraise, supervise and support junior staff and therapy assistants.

*To initiate/participate in audits, research and quality improvement programmes.
