You will be working as part of the therapy team and the wider Multidisciplinary Team.
Developing your clinical and interdisciplinary team working skills and support your career development. We have an exciting Band 6 position to support our Healthcare of Older Peoples (HCOP) and Short Stay teams. This role consists of working in both the HCOP team and Short Stay team. The specific days will be confirmed once appointed.
Currently the positions cover our HCOP and Short Stay wards at Good Hope hospitals. You will work as part of the therapy team supporting patients to return home as soon as possible by providing timely and regular therapy interventions maximising their chances of staying at home.
Are you dynamic, innovative and highly motivated HCPC registered Physiotherapist with experience in a broad range of therapy teams/clinical areas. You will be an excellent team worker with knowledge across a range of Physiotherapy treatments. Alternatively, this experience could be invaluable for your career progression to Band 7 roles. You will be working within a friendly supportive environment where we are committed to continued professional and career development of all staff.
Main duties of the job
To provide therapeutic assessment, management and treatment of patients in a variety of specialties within the Acute hospital setting; working within the HCOP and Short Stay teams at Good Hope hospitals. Focusing interventions to a wide variety of clinical cases, applying physiotherapy knowledge. There will be a strong focus on facilitating discharges home, or to other care pathways. You should possess excellent communication, prioritisation and organisational skills; and have experience in working in a multidisciplinary team. Undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner and maintain associated records. Furthermore, assisting with supervision, education and co-ordination of generic Therapy Support Workers and Junior therapists.
You should be willing to participate in seven days working.
