Band 6- Secure Care community OT Forensic Intensive Recovery Support Team (F.I.R.S.T)

Diploma, BSC or MSC in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration is essential for this post.

Main duties of the job

We welcome you to apply for this fixed term band 6 OT vacancy in our highly respected and creative OT team. The F.I.R.S.T Occupational Therapy service comprises of qualified Occupational Therapists (OT), Technical Instructors (TI), and an employment specialist. The OT team is integral to the wider multi-disciplinary team and recovery team. We strongly suggest a pre visit or a conversation with the OT Lead or one of our very approachable band 6 OT’s.

The core purpose of the role is to assist in the facilitation of transition of service users from our inpatient’s secure beds, (some may be in out of area placements). We offer OT treatment to support community living, social inclusion, skills and knowledge development in order to improve quality of life, prevent readmission, and prepare for a move on to a CMHT.
