Calling all midwives, do you want to be involved to the exciting new things happening at Bolton.  2028 will see the opening of our newly renovated unit, a new alongside birth centre, a new maternity triage.

You will join a team of Midwives who truly care about women’s experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. We have opportunities for band 6 experienced registered Midwives in:-

Community and the Midwifery Led Centre opening early 2028

Contract is for a rotational midwife, the successful applicant may be required to work in any area in the future, however currently the vacancy is in community.

Main duties of the job

With births of around 6000 per year, Bolton is the ‘Supercentre’ for the North West, providing high quality compassionate care to the women of Bolton, Bury, Salford and beyond.

Recent improvements have led to a stronger focus on providing safe and compassionate care and this has increased opportunities to learn, develop and expand your career.

What we are currently doing:

  • Providing high quality care to high risk women
  • Working towards offering a transitional care service
  • Perinatal mental health service to offer a more holistic approach to women with mental health needs.
