Job overview

The post holder will participate in the management of and be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of clinical care for the patients they transfer. They will co-ordinate care of the patient providing clear professional leadership and ensuring effective communication

To deliver high standards of intensive care transport  nursing in partnership with children, young people and families in a safe and professional environment

To be responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care to children and young people and their families/carers during the transport process.

To positively contribute to the achievement of the service and Trust wide objectives

Engage in preceptorship and development of all junior staff, and supervise and teach staff and students, and to take charge of the ward on a shift to shift basis

To adhere to Trust policies and procedures
