Job summary
Exciting opportunities for Clinical Nurse Specialists have arisen within the Breast Reconstruction Service. The service is provided across QEHB, Solihull, and Good Hope Hospitals according to service need. We are seeking a nurse with post registration experience in relevant specialities, someone that can demonstrate professional and clinical skills commensurate to the post. To include experience in wound care. We require someone that can support plastics consultants and patients' across multiple sites in the Trust. the successful candidate needs to be reliable, a good team player who can demonstrate empathy with excellent interpersonal skills.
A flexible and positive approach to working is essential, as is the ability to work independently with the wider MDT. The ability to manage and deal with stressful situations is also a requirement.
There is one full time (37.5), permanent post and one part time (18.75), 12 month fixed term post available.
Main duties of the job
Main duties to include:
-Implementation of care for patients' undergoing breast reconstruction in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
-Expert wound care
-To act as a role model; providing expertise, support, advice and education to health care professionals, patients and carers.
-To assist consultant plastic surgeons at various locations.
-Improve and maintain knowledge, competence and skill levels whilst ensuring high quality, holistic, patient centred care.
-Liaise and collaborate with wider MDT.
-Provide support and teaching as required.
-Provide psychological support and information associated to altered body image.
-Assist with planning and implementation of nurse led clinics.
