The Trauma & Orthopaedic department at UHD delivers care to adult patients and the service is transforming in response to the needs of our community. Our team are always developing to be able to deliver safe, effective and patient centred care. This is an opportunity for someone to be involved in shaping the transformation in delivery of our services.
The Trauma & Orthopaedic Care Unit (TOACU) is a 5 patient capacity unit focusing on upper and lower limb soft tissue infections and GP referrals. It is open Monday to Saturday 8.00am-8.00pm with patients being admitted up until 6.30pm. The unit provides a high quality nursing service and environment to avoid hospital admissions.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 RN with experience in Surgery and minimum of 1 year in Trauma & Orthopaedics, to join our proactive and friendly team. You will be required to work 2 weekends per month and will need to be committed to the provision of quality patient care.
An active UK NMC Registration is required for this role
Interview date: 8th October 2026
Base site UHD - Poole hospital, with plans to move to Bournemouth hospital in Spring 2027
