Main duties of the job

This rotational post offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience working in a rewarding environment with a wide variety of medical clinical conditions e.g. Frailty,Parkinson's, Amputees, Dementia, Falls and Fractures and also within specialist neuro placements; brain injury in / out patients, plus stroke rehab.

All areas focus on client-centered practice with a holistic approach, and you will gain skills and knowledge in both general and specialist OT intervention.

We fully support continued professional development with a wide variety of training options, including a monthly Inservice Training program, regular clinical supervision and opportunities to develop wider knowledge and skills through participation in Service Development projects.

  • Relevant experience of the Occupational Therapy process during Fieldwork Education and Work
  • Documenting evidence of continuing professional development

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience in inpatient areas such as Discharge to Assess, Frailty, Stroke / Neuro

Qualifications

  • HCPC Registration
  • Occupational Therapy Degree

  • Practice Educator

Skills and knowledge

  • Basic Knowledge of health legislation and current practice
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the OT process
