
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Children's Community Nursing Team for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to work within the Training Team.
This role is a key part of the Children's Community Nursing Team. The Band 5 Registered Nurse will support in identifying & implementing training for Service users, Registered & Non Registered staff, Education & Transport staff for required care interventions around individual health needs.
The Band 5 Registered Nurse will also be a crucial part of participating in providing home visits supporting families recently discharged with a child/young person with complex health needs. The Band 5 Registered Nurse may also support in the Education setting supporting education staff in their journey of becoming competent.
The role is Monday - Friday 09:00am - 17:00pm. Base will be Kings Medical Centre, Normanton, WF6 2AZ.
Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of care of a defined caseload with required training needs. Assist in leading and monitoring the performance and work of the Childrens Community Nursing Training Team. Be proactive and flexible and provide the highest possible standard of care. The teaching of registered and pre-registered nurses is of high importance.
The post holder will support with organising and managing training for a defined group of patients / service users, providing specialist nursing support, advice, education and care to that specific group. They will carry continuing responsibility for the assessment of training need, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of training and the setting of standards within the defined service group.
