An opportunity has arisen for a trained nursery nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Unit at Watford General Hospital. The Woodland Neonatal Unit is a Level 2 unit (LNU) within the East of England network caring for sick term babies and those born after 27 weeks gestation. In addition, we manage a 6 bedded Transitional Care Unit in postnatal ward, caring for mothers and small babies together.
The post holder will be working on a permanent contract for a year in transitional care and in special care nurseries in the neonatal unit. The successful applicant will be expected to be flexible in the area they work on workdays, nights and weekends.
The postholder will be working with multidisciplinary team including the community outreach team to provide a wholistic care for all the babies and their families in the neonatal and transitional care unit.

Education Responsibility
To attend educational sessions and keep updated on new techniques and procedures.
Maintain annual mandatory requirements (Including safeguarding).
Participate in the annual Individual Performance Reviews (IPR) and work through action plan with team leader.
Demonstrate parentcraft techniques to families.
Provide a suitable learning environment for students.
