BHRUT maternity department is looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our Maternity Team.
You will be responsible for accurate discharge of women and their newborns ensuring the safe transfer of care is communicated to the community teams.
Working closely with multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will ensure that workflow runs smoothly.

Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months.
The Maternity Discharge Coordinator will work throughout the maternity department and support staff with the workflow and discharge of women in our care to ensure that patient needs are met.
The Maternity Discharge Coordinator will ensure there is high quality patient experience and assist with service development to maintain this.
The role is intended to help reduce the length of stay within our Maternity unit and to develop a clear, robust and efficient discharge process.
