An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our fast-paced Endoscopy Unit as an Apprentice Patient Pathway Coordinator. You will help oversee the patient journey to ensure, in conjunction with booking staff, that patients are scheduled in accordance with principles and target waiting times as set out in the NHS Constitution. We are looking for someone who is proficient in the use of IT Systems including Microsoft Office, has experience of data entry and has good typing skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential for this post.  Alongside the job role you will be completing the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship. If you already hold this qualification at Level 3 or above, then unfortunately you are not eligible to apply. Main duties of the job

Work as part of the team in undertaking Secretarial workload for      Gastroenterology Consultant (s)

Work with the Service Manager and Line manager to ensure that administrative processes for the patient pathway meet the quality standards required both nationally and within the directorate and are adhered to.

Ensure that all incoming and outgoing communication, including urgent matters are dealt with efficiently (including vetting correspondence and ensuring that appropriate action is taken before passing on).
