We are looking to appoint an individual to be part of the team providing effective and efficient functioning of the safety and security systems within the reception control room.
You will be recruited to support Tamarind Centre which is a Medium Secure Unit. Whilst you will be based in one our three MSUs you may need to support the other MSU sites within Birmingham. You will be expected to meet high standards of physical, relational and procedural security within our medium secure mental health service.
Act as the first point of contact for all visitors and service users to the secure services as well as responding to all telephone enquiries appropriately, whilst portraying themselves in a manner, which positively reflects the values of the organisation and in a way, which will ensure that effective customer care exists with internal and external stakeholders.
The reception control room staff will be required to work a variety of shift patterns to cover the 24-hour time frame usually as part of a team, or as a lone worker with support from staff within the building. This will include the requirement to work at night and during unsocial hours at weekends and on bank holidays.
The post holder will need to undertake training and qualify as a first aider so as to provide 24-hour first aid coverage throughout the service.
Under the supervision of the reception control room manager the post holder will be responsible for the provision of a quality customer care service to all visitors, employees and service users contacting or visiting the service.
The post holder will be required to ensure that the integrity of the safety and security provisions are maintained and appropriate procedures are adhered to in the event of a security breach or safety related incident such as fire or medical emergency and that all security equipment is maintained and accounted for.
Act as the main point of contact for all visitors to the Secure and Complex Care Programme locations.
The post holder will demonstrate adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning, proactively acquiring new skills and embracing emerging technologies as service needs evolve.
We are looking for post holders who are enthusiastic, self- motivated and efficient who can work as part of a team or alone.
You will need to be able to work shifts throughout the 24-hour period including nights, weekends and bank holidays.
