We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Associate Practitioner in Cardiology to join our dedicated and supportive team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality cardiac diagnostic service, undertaking a range of investigations including exercise tolerance testing, tilt table testing, ambulatory cardiac monitoring analysis, and device hook-up.

We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You should be able to work independently, prioritise your workload effectively, and demonstrate initiative in a busy clinical environment. A flexible approach is essential, including a willingness to work across multiple sites as required.

Main duties of the job

You will support the Cardio-Respiratory Manager in delivering an efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective cardiology service across Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This will include contributing to the maintenance of professional and clinical standards in line with local policies and national guidance.

In this role, you will undertake a range of clinical duties, including performing routine and urgent 12-lead ECGs across all directorates. You will be responsible for fitting and preparing ambulatory cardiac monitors, including Holter monitors and arrhythmia event recorders, as well as fitting and downloading 24-hour non-invasive blood pressure monitors.

The role also involves supporting general administrative functions to ensure smooth service delivery. You will be expected to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care at all times, adhering to agreed local and national standards, while actively contributing to patient safety in accordance with Health and Safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
