An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Breast Screening team in delivering high quality services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Kent Breast Screening Service. This administrative post is based at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital and provides support to the Breast Screening Programme Management team.

As part of the role the post holder will be expected to travel between the three Kent units (Maidstone, Medway and Canterbury). The ideal candidate will be diligent, motivated and attentive with experience of managing their own workload. The post holder will also be required to work as part of a close team, have good computer and communication skills and work well under pressure.

Main duties of the job

The successful postholder will be expected to provide and receive routine information which may be complex or sensitive. They will also exchange verbal and written information with a range of individuals, groups, and departments (including patients, staff or carers) relating to enquiries, appointments, admissions and meetings.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in the use of hospital based IT systems would be an advantage.
  • The successful candidate must be computer literate, be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Training on the NBSS (National Breast Screening System) and RIS Sectra Soliton will be given.
