Main duties of the job
We are a countywide service, committed to improving the wellbeing of parents and their babies. We offer assessment and treatment to women with moderate to severe mental health difficulties who are either pregnant or within the first post-natal year (increasing to 24 months in some circumstances). You will be joining an established psychology team consisting of three clinical psychologists, a CBT therapist and parent-infant psychotherapists.
We are committed to keeping the family at the centre of care and normalising the experience of pregnancy and becoming a parent. We have a philosophy of early intervention and ensure that we capture the babies voice in the work that we do. Our aim is to reduce barriers to accessing services and aim to empower and build confidence in our service users.
Research and QI opportunities are available and encouraged. We have a close relationship with the doctoral training course at the University of East Anglia and our future aim is to offer several placements within our expanding team.
