We are excited to offer a full-time Assistant Psychologist post within the Urgent Care Team at Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB).

FTB is an innovative community and inpatient mental health service delivering a pathway of care for 0–25-year-olds.  The first service of its kind nationally, FTB serves both the largest local authority in Europe and the youngest population in Europe.

We are looking for a strong candidate to be a valued member of our team, working alongside Clinical Psychologists and other multidisciplinary colleagues supporting young people who are experiencing a mental health crisis.  You will receive weekly clinical supervision from a Clinical Psychologist.

Main duties of the job

There will be opportunities for supervised clinical practice including 1:1 clinical work, multidisciplinary team working, co-delivery of training, audit, and service development and evaluation.

We are looking for psychology graduates who have some relevant clinical experience and are passionate about promoting and supporting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.  We are looking for individuals who can be compassionate, brave, and ambitious, who are interested in learning to apply psychological knowledge to their work and are open to developing their skills and understanding within the remit of the services provided.
