Job summary

This post is in ABLs Intensive Personalised Support Service (IPS), part of our Mental Health Division. IPS works with individuals (primarily young people), their families, and their networks to help them develop the skills they need, so the individual can feel safe in a stable home and have a good quality of life. Often our aim is to help move individuals identified as Edge of Care away from the edge so that they can stay home, but we recognise that occasionally a person-centred approach may mean supporting the individual to transition into, out of, or to maintain a residential placement.

Main duties of the job

Key duties and responsibilities include supporting the delivery of psychological and behavioural interventions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, including contributing to assessment, formulation and intervention planning. The postholder will develop person-centred and positive behaviour support plans (PBSP), produce high-quality reports, and manage a caseload while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The role involves providing psychological guidance and consultation to families, support staff and professionals, attending multidisciplinary meetings, and communicating complex and sensitive information in a clear and compassionate manner. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate clinical records, utilising IT systems effectively, engaging in regular supervision and continuous professional development, and upholding high standards of professional practice. The successful candidate will contribute to service development, support improvements in clinical processes, and, where appropriate, assist in delivering training within the service.

About us

As an experienced, CQC registered, provider of community health services we are passionate about delivering evidence based, innovative, effective and relevant health care services in partnership with individuals, communities and stakeholders.
