Main duties of the job

The postholder will be a psychology graduate (with a 2:1 or higher degree and graduate basis for registration with the British Psychological Society).

We are looking for someone who has  experience and skills in working with young people experiencing mental health difficulties, working within a multidisciplinary team. Candidates for the role will require at least 6 months experience of working with young people within a CAMHS setting.

There will be opportunities to co-facilitate a range of group interventions and coproduction groups, as well as offering individual therapeutic support to young people and their parents/carers. There will be a key role in administering, analysing and feeding back on outcome measures and writing clinical reports. The post holders will also support the team in coordinating our waiting lists and completing service level audit projects as part of quality and development initiatives. Responsibilities will also include liaison with allied professionals, contributing to the sharing of psychological knowledge and case discussion.  Knowledge of the local CAMHS pathways will be essential.

The role will require flexibility and a capacity to work responsively in a variety of situations, working closely with colleagues and other agencies involved in our service users' care.

• Working as part of CAMHS to improve the experience of Children & Young People presenting in mental health crisis.
• To facilitate service user participation within the Quality Improvement project, alongside the project leads, including recruitment, engagement of young people and families.
• To collate, analyse and present outcome data connected to the CAMHS.
• Potential to offer psychological support to an identified service user/s under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychological or equivalent practitioner.
