An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well established , supportive team, located in the city centre of Hereford. We have a patient list size of 12640 and CQC rating good.
We are looking for a ARRS GP for 4 sessions per week to join our busy and very motivated and supportive team from 1.10.26.
Main duties of the job
The Practice follows BMA and model contract. 4 session surgeries, 15 minute phone and face to face appointments, a mix of on the day booked and pre booked patients plus one home visits (am session only) .

- Cantilupe Surgery is a city centre practice with a branch surgery based 2 miles away at Hampton Dene, both are modern , purpose built premises.

- Large team of GP's (3 Partners, 3 Salaried) in addition to 1 Registrars, 3 ANP's, 1 Advanced Paramedic, 4 Nurses, 3 HCA's and various admin/ reception support roles along with ARRS roles via PCN
- Routine surgeries - 15 minute face to face appointments , home visits ( one per day) and designated admin time (max of 13 contacts per surgery)
- Strong training ethos, currently 1 GP Registrar in practice
- Monthly team meetings and Significant illness/events meetings/Palliative Care
- Daily 'coffee time' catch up
- 6 weeks annual leave and one week study leave pro rata

Deliver high-quality, evidence-based medical care to registered patients during face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations.
Manage a variety of acute, chronic, and complex health conditions.
Conduct patient consultations, examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
Provide appropriate referrals to secondary care and community services as needed.
Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in the practices duty doctor rota and on-call schedule (if applicable).
Accurately complete patient records using the practices clinical system (EMIS)
Support health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education activities.
Engage in regular clinical meetings, CPD, and annual appraisals.
Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team (including nurses, pharmacists, ANPs, and social prescribers).
Support GP colleagues by having a flexible work approach to provide that support within work plan.t

- Inclusion on a performers list without restrictions.
- MRCGP (or equivalent qualification).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication, clinical, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing patient-centred, high-quality care.
Desirable
- Experience or interest in teaching, training, or research.
- Special interest in areas such as womens health, mental health, or chronic disease management.
- Familiarity with QOF, Enhanced Services, and the NHS Long-Term Plan.
