Job overview

The Apprentice Associate Audiologist will support the delivery of high-quality diagnostic and rehabilitative Audiology services for adults and older children within Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Working under the guidance of qualified Audiology practitioners, the post holder will undertake routine hearing assessments, assist with hearing rehabilitation programmes, maintain accurate patient records, and contribute to a patient-focused clinical environment.

Alongside practical clinical experience, the successful candidate will complete the Hearing Aid Dispenser Apprenticeship at De Montfort University, developing the knowledge, technical skills, and professional behaviours required for a career in Audiology.

The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patients with hearing difficulties, including elderly, frail, and vulnerable individuals. The Apprentice Associate Audiologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to service improvement, clinical governance, audit activities, and maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting while working towards a recognised professional qualification in Audiology.
