The Role
This position is an expansion of the NHSL Covid Rehab Team, with the support of recurring funding for Energy Limiting conditions, from The Scottish Government. The team will provide specialist intervention for moderate to severe presentations of all Energy Limiting Conditions, including, Long Covid, ME/CFS, POTS and other similar presentations. The post will support the development of the OT service and contribute to the overall service planning as part of a supportive interdisciplinary team.
You will work as an advanced clinical practitioner responsible for providing expert clinical care, making complex, autonomous decisions using advanced clinical reasoning skills and knowledge. You will work within a variety of outpatient and domiciliary settings across NHSL Lanarkshire and have multiple interactions across all clinical, social and 3rd sector pathways, with requirements to support mainstream pathways with education and support related to the complexities of this patient group.
As an Advanced Practitioner, you must demonstrate competence within all four pillars of advanced practice. This position would be ideal for an experienced clinician who has an interest in quality improvement and developing new innovative ways of working to improve patient care and outcomes.
Support and development is available from a very supportive, highly specialist, AHP team and within already established national clinical links.
Core working will be Monday – Friday with flexibility around working patterns. The office base is within Blantyre Health Centre. Although this post is full-time, part-time requests will be considered. A car driver is essential to meet the requirements of this role.
