An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our established and forward thinking team.
Cowdenbeath Medical Practice is a busy training Practice with a patient population of over 11,600 patients. Our clinical team consists of 8 GP Partners, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses, Mental Health Triage Nurse, Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner, Midwife, Community Treatment and Care Nurses, Phlebotomists and Primary Care Pharmacy Team who are supported by an excellent team of Reception and Administrative staff.
You should have PGDip in Advanced Practice. They will be friendly and motivated with excellent communication skills. The role will initially involve managing daily demand for minor illness, independent working in patient assessment and prescribing, providing advanced levels of nursing practice and clinical decision making. You should have previous work experience enabling competent history taking, physical examination and problem solving with the experience to make professional autonomous decisions.
Experience in the management of urgent care presentations, from six weeks of age upwards, including onward referral for investigations or admission would be advantageous along with a degree of expertise in telephone triage.
