Job overview

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 3 Advanced HCA to work within North Lincolnshire.

You will work within the District Nursing team visiting patients within their own home settings to carry out planned nursing care.

The base for this post will be Global House, Scunthorpe.

You will be an integral member of the larger nursing  team.

Main duties of the job

  • The Community Advanced Health Care Assistant (CAHCA) as a member of a community nursing team will;
  • Carry out delegated work in accordance with the vocational competencies and local/national policies.
  • Duties will be assigned by and carried out under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse, according to the individual patient care plan.
  • Duties include discussion and reporting of any changes in the patient’s condition to the registered nurse on a daily basis.
  • Where additional skills training is identified as required by the job description, the post holder will not undertake those duties until training has been undertaken (except as part of the supervised learning experience).
  • Be an effective member of the Network to which the post holder is attached.

Occupational Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in a health / social care setting for a minimum of 1 year

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a community setting.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • • Level 3 qualification in appropriate subject
  • • Level 2 Functional skills Math and English (Equivalent GCSE grade C)
  • • Work based competencies associated with the role
  • • Level 2 qualification in appropriate subject and willingness to study for a Level 3 qualification

Desirable

  • Evidence of recent study / development.
