This is an exciting opportunity to come and work in a senior clinical role within a well performing, dynamic and compassionate community perinatal team. We are looking for an ACP with relevant and recent Perinatal Mental health experience.

Providing advanced clinical expertise, judgement and care planning as part of an excellent Multi-disciplinary team the role holder will have the opportunity to work autonomously to provide the best standard in care provision.
Promoting recovery based care programmes and setting high standards for the delivery of care to service users and their families and be responsible for delivering high quality perinatal services.

Main duties of the job
To provide advanced clinical expertise, levels of judgement, discretion and decision making in the delivery of clinical care.
Provide advanced clinical skills in relation to assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of perinatal mental ill health.
Promote recovery based care programmes and set high standards for the delivery of care to service users and their families and be responsible for delivering high quality perinatal services.
Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing Services to women in the perinatal period.
Contribute to the medical prescribing provision within the team through supportive dedicated non-medical prescribing.
Work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary teams developing shared goals, complementing the roles of others to support and maintain team growth and continuous improvement.

Knowledge
Essential
- In-depth knowledge of a range of approaches to perinatal mental health assessment and of psychosocial interventions
- Confident in the delivery of care to service user group
- Skilled in delivering evidence based practice for patients who self-harm or attempt suicide
Experience
Essential
- Relevant and recent experience in Perinatal mental health care
- Significant post qualification experience
- Significant experience of risk assessment and management and its application practice
- Detailed understanding of relevant legislation e.g. Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act and its application to an Acute Hospital setting
Qualifications
Essential
- MSc Advanced Clinical Practice First degree in Registered Health profession
- Registered Practitioner
- Evidence of professional updating and development in the delivery of service to people with mental illness.
